Custom Permits, Inc. is a service bureau in Warrensburg, Missouri. We work with motor carriers on registration, permitting and fuel tax compliance across all 58 IFTA member jurisdictions - the 48 contiguous states and 10 Canadian provinces.
Since 1992, we have filed the returns, tracked the renewals and kept the credentials current for carriers who would rather be running freight than reading regulations.

The International Fuel Tax Agreement covers 58 member jurisdictions. We file in all of them, from our base state of Missouri.

Deadlines don't move
IFTA returns are due four times a year, on the last day of the month after each quarter. A return is required even for a quarter the truck never turned a wheel. We file on the calendar, not on a reminder.
Returns have to reconcile
A fuel tax return matches miles driven against fuel purchased, jurisdiction by jurisdiction. Numbers that don't line up are what draw an audit. We reconcile before we file.
Credentials expire quietly
UCR renews annually, MCS-150 every two years, Form 2290 on its own cycle, each through a different portal. Nothing tells you one lapsed until it matters. We track them against your fleet.

That sentence is the reason the company exists, written into its charter in 1992 and filed in Jefferson City. Three decades on, it still describes the work almost exactly.
The forms have changed names and moved online. Mileage reporting became IFTA. Registration of operating rights became USDOT numbers and operating authority. The underlying job did not change: a carrier needs to be legal in every jurisdiction it runs, and somebody has to do the filing.
Custom Permits started in Grain Valley and operates today out of Warrensburg, about fifty miles east of Kansas City.
